DORMAKABA cleaner

Locking cylinders from DORMAKABA are precision mechanical products of high accuracy - therefore it is important to take care of them. The cleaner is used for the specific care and cleaning of cylinders of all kinds. The new formula is characterized by decades of practical experience and physical properties proven in the laboratory. In contrast to many third-party products, the cylinder does not have to be permanently relubricated thanks to the cleaner, as the product does not thicken.

The cleaner has excellent corrosion protection on steel, nickel silver and brass and does not attack the surfaces permanently. It can be used without restriction on all locking cylinders (including mechatronic products, or cylinders in cars, etc.)

Advantages of the new formulation:

The new formulation of the cleaner is free of heavy metals and thus GHS-compliant (declaration of hazardous substances). In addition to the significantly improved water displacement, a higher lubricity is also guaranteed. The spray remains liquid even at cold temperatures and can be used down to -25°C.

Instruction manual:

Shake the cleaner well and turn the red tube onto the valve (caution: do not just plug in, otherwise the tube could bend). Now hold the tube in the keyhole and operate the pump. You have to insert the key several times and turn it so that the lubricant film is evenly distributed inside the cylinder lock. After turning the key several times, wipe it well inside the cylinder with a soft cloth so that there are no residues left.
In order to guarantee a perfect locking function over a longer period of time, the locking cylinder should be treated with our recommended cleaner at least once a year - or more often depending on the load. Please note that locking cylinders must not be treated with adhesives (e.g. oil). Only cleaning products which do not contain any corrosion-promoting components may be used.
