The term mechatronics refers to the interaction of the disciplines of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and information technology in the development and manufacture of new products.
For decades, mechanical systems were the non plus ultra. With the development of electronics, computer systems and the possibility to control running processes with electronic programs, intelligent systems such as robot technology, medical technology, electronic shooting systems, motor cylinders, barrier systems, automatic roller blinds and many more are being created in all areas of our lives.
The advantages of the individual fields of expertise in combination result in completely new possibilities for modern application technology.
Mechatronics, mechanics, electronics / electrical engineering, control engineering and information technology are combined in a meaningful way.
In the area of locking technology, which in the past was manufactured purely mechanically, the integration of electronic components opens up new, more flexible options for access authorization.
