Core pulling protection

Pull-off or core pulling protected locking cylinders are protected against pulling out, pulling off and core-pulling (longitudinal pulling action on the cylinder) by special tools (e.g. pull screws). The cylinder itself can be protected by design features (cross pins in front of the fitting) or by a protective fitting. A very good protection is provided by security fittings with core pulling protection (slotted metal plate in front of the cylinder).

Also, modular cylinders in which the connecting bar is made of CrNi steel offer increased strength against tensile tests.
